I love scones. I enjoy eating them, and I enjoy making them. I really like the petite vanilla bean scones at Starbucks. But the price is not right. King Arthur Flour posted a similar scone recipe on their blog, with step-by-step instructions complete with photos! Check it out here. I just want to grab them off the screen and eat them, they look so good!
I am a huge fan of King Arthur flour. I used to mail order it until Kroger started carrying it. It really gives me the results I want when baking–especially bread and hot rolls. It is more expensive, but I think it is worth the extra money. By the way, the best way to measure flour is to weigh it. KA flour weighs 4 ounces per cup whereas most other flours weight 5 ounces. Weighing the flour gives a much more accurate measure. On a damp day, flour will weigh more and can really “heavy up” your recipe.
I also am a huge fan of silicone baking pans. I have a number of different shapes now, but I especially like my mini scone pans. Great recipes, KA Flour, and my silicone pans–I’m ready to bake!
