<p>I DON&#8217;T WANT TO HEAR ANY MORE ABOUT&#8230;.</p>

&#8220;It&#8217;s like looking at the ambulance at a car crash&#8230;.you just can&#8217;t look away.&#8221;  TMZ, I beg to differ. Car crashes are so much more interesting.  WHY are reporters falling all over themselves to buy a Zesty Bowl for Britney so she doesn&#8217;t have to get out of the car?  I&#8217;m about to go off on a tangent, so I&#8217;ll just stop there.  </p>

<p>J-Lo&#8217;s pregnancy</em> So what if she stumbled on the people mover?  Endanger her baby?  Nah.  She&#8217;s invincible.  Wonder Woman.  Real life does not apply.</p>
<p>American media, there are truly interesting people out there for you to write about.  Do you know what I want to read right now and can&#8217;t find?  I want to read about Jane Seymour&#8217;s mother who recently passed away.  Now there is something interesting.  She was in a Japanese concentration camp for 3 1/2 years.  Why is it you aren&#8217;t telling that story???  </p>
<p>I miss the &#8220;old-timey&#8221; reporters like Charles Kuralt who traveled America and found the real stories. Stories about real people who did important everyday things.  Americana. Everyday unsung heroes. Britney, you ain&#8217;t it.</p>
<p>Oh yeah, happy birthday Paris.   </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Okay.  This rant has been a long time coming.  I have fought it, but it must come out.  Bear in mind that this is my blog, and I don&#8217;t try to be politically correct.  It is not my intent to offend anyone, but I have been offended myself.  This rant is about hispanics.  I don&#8217;t consider myself to be a prejudiced person, and some of the most precious people in my life are hispanic.  However, this rant is not about those hispanics who have come into this country legally, who have earned their citizenship, and are  proud to be Americans.  This rant is about the criminals who come in through the back door and demand to have the full rights of American <strong>citizens</strong> without becoming American citizens.</p>
<p>I live in Texas which means there is a high concentration of hispanics here.  Okay.  I accept that, though it impacts my life negatively every day.  There are 12-15+ people living in the house next door to me who regularly come and go across the border in herds.  And come and go at all hours of the day/night.  Who park so many vehicles in front of my house that the mailman and trash company cannot access my yard.  (Recently my brush was in the front yard for <em>3 weeks </em>for this very reason.)   Who play Mexican music as loud as the boom box or car radio allows so I can&#8217;t hear my own t.v.  (WHY is their music so annoying???) </p>
<p> Yes, there are housing ordinances, but the local police department can&#8217;t enforce them.  If they enforce one, they have to enforce them all, which would take a whole national branch of the INS.   So, I try to be hospitable and accept their imposing presence as they crowd me out of my own living spaces and my rights to enjoy my own home and receive the services that I pay for.  (What were they saying about rights????  I have them too!)  I think it is very safe to say that most hispanics are in this state <strong>illegally</strong>.  That means a law has been broken, does it not?  Hence, the word &#8220;criminal&#8221; comes to mind.</p>
<p>Dallas has been a hotbed of activity in the hispanic community recently.  They want to be American without giving up their loyalty to their homeland.  I think that is called having your cake and eating it too.  It galls me to hear their demands, to listen to them scream, &#8220;It&#8217;s not fair; we have rights.&#8221;  Oh, do they now?  As uninvited guests in our country, they spit in the face of our &#8220;hospitality&#8221;  (allowing them to stay here illegally) and demand that they own the &#8220;house.&#8221;  Seriously, seriously, what other country in the world would put up with such shenanigans?  (And, the big question is, why are <em>we</em>???)</p>
<p>They want to be allowed to fly the Mexican flag in their yards  and businesses.  Others are flying both flags with the Mexican flag above the American flag.  A principal in Houston was suspended for allowing the students at his school to do this very thing.  I cannot fathom how a principal of a <em>government </em>school would stand for this, in what I consider an act of treason.  </p>

<p>The latest slap in the face of Americans is the singing of the National Anthem in the spanish language.  Some things you just don&#8217;t mess with.  This goes beyond insulting.  This is showing the deepest disrespect for the very thing the hispanics want to own.   I find it very, very odd that hispanics want to fly their own flag, yet are singing the American National Anthem in spanish.  What are they pledging allegiance to?  Is anybody thinking this through?</p>

<p>I ask again:  What other country would allow illegal aliens to even be here, much less allow them to make demands?  (I know, &#8220;illegal alien&#8221; is not politically correct.  Have we lost our minds?)</p>
<p>We have already gone way overboard to accomodate the hispanic community, taking resources from our own children to set up classes for their children because they refuse to speak our national language.  Government has tried to require school principals to become  bilingual so they can communicate with parents, since parents won&#8217;t communicate in the native tongue of this country.    What else do they want from us?    </p>
<p>Recently a firefighter in Dallas argued with a Mexican man while giving free  fans to the needy.  The man had lived in Dallas for 10 years, yet spoke no English.  The firefighter was trying to force him to ask for the fan in English.  The end result was that the firefighter was suspended and punished.  The assumption is that it is the responsibility of the American citizen to communicate with the uncooperative.  How did we get so upside down?</p>
<p>America is a melting pot.  But they don&#8217;t want to melt.  They want to retain their own identity, but  in a country that prospers and that does allow rights to its citizens.  It is clear that they prefer our system of government.  So????  What are they waiting for?  They know how to do it.  We have set a great example for them.  They can take care of their own country and stop meddling in ours.</p>
<p>There is only one way to become an American citizen. There is a due process in place.  We have made provisions for others to join us as citizens of this great country.   We are open.   Breaking our laws, then whining about not having rights, is not acceptable.  It&#8217;s not even moral.   </p>

<p>When did I give my consent to allow this state to become a harbor for illegal hispanics?  I did not, nor will I.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Dallas area was shocked to learn that the DISD board member who was pursuing the hiring of illegal immigrants died of a heart attack.  I am very, very sorry to hear this.  It is never enjoyable to hear of the sudden demise of another human being.</p>
<p>I can&#8217;t help but wonder what he would have done differently had he known it was his last week on earth.  Would he have still thought his idea was so important?  What was REALLY important to him?  </p>
<p>It is very sad that this man will be remembered for the last thing he did, which was not honorable in the eyes of a lot of people.  What a shame.  We never knew about the good things he did.  </p>
