It only took me 36 years, but I FINALLY got my long-desired new freezer. Now our little appliance family is complete. 
No more frozen avalanches! No more buying “another one” because I’m not interested in unloading the freezer to find my “current one.”
We had an old refrigerator in the garage that had a large freezer on the bottom, but it just wasn’t big enough. DH talked me into a side-by-side when we bought our refrigerator a few years ago, and the freezer section and I don’t play nice together. I put the food in, it spits it back out. But now, space is no object!
Since joining Weight Watchers, I have needed more freezer space than ever. I take full advantage of sales, such as a recent Jenny-O ground turkey sale. Then I prepare the food (in this case browning some for casseroles and making various types of turkey burgers), measure it into ZipLoc bags, then freeze it for lunches. I’m a grab-and-go kind of gal. It takes me a while to eat a loaf of bread, so I portion servings into ZL bags, then freeze them. The goal is to save myself as much time as possible, control my portions, and eliminate waste.
We have been purchasing food from the Swann company, which is all delivered frozen. I desperately needed more freezer space. DH and I have been shopping for this purchase for a couple of months. I’m glad we waited to buy; a July 4th sale brought the price down $250 from the MSRP. I am a happy camper!
Thank goodness, no! A part was replaced yesterday, so we are good to go. Whew!
