Not Quite A Thursday Thirteen

I have……

….started my Christmas shopping. Fun fun!
….tested a piece of software at work for 3 weeks! Uncle!
….started a new class; I’m learning PHP and MySQL. Our project is a recipe database, which I will be able to incorporate into our family journal!
….started watching these new TV shows this year: Pushing Daisies (bizarrely hilarious!) and Kid Nation (I know, but I can’t help myself. I want to know what makes these kids tick!)
….picked out a pair of shoes I want to try. Of course, they are in a mall 30 miles away.
….considered dumping my blog, but I’m not quite ready yet.
….loved the pearls you gave me last year for my birthday, DH and DD. They are so beautiful. I love how cool they feel when I put them on and how warm they are when I take them off. Thank you again.
….learned that a recently discovered cousin wrote a book about the family history. I bought the book on ebay and got to glimpse some lovely pieces of my family. This same cousin also wrote short stories and was the recipient of an O Henry Award!!! I wish I had known about her before she died.
….discovered Starbucks Dark Chocolate Peppermint Mochas (bottled version). Yummm yummm!

You’d best NOT be ending your blog Cheryl! Nope, that won’t do for me, let me tell ya. You have real pearls? I’m covetous of those, I really like pearls. I think they’re very elegant.

Finally–you and I cannot be friends in real life; you started shopping already and I am the wait until December type of gal. Ah well, balance, I guess. xoxo
