Meanderings

Well, I don’t know what happened. I blinked, it is weeks later, and I haven’t been writing much at all. Anywhere. I have made a decision, though. I realized I was posting mostly about Lost on my blog, so I set up a new forum to organize my Lost info.

What have I been doing? Well, let’s see…for one thing, I have been wrangling with my new PDA–an HP Ipaq. I have been a Palm user for years, so switching to Windows Mobile has been quite a learning curve. Actually, I don’t think I have made it around the bend yet. I don’t think there is anything more frustrating than computer problems. Two days ago I had a problem with Windows Installer on my PC, my ipod crashed, and my Ipaq performed a hard reset on its own when I docked it for syncing. Now THAT was a bad day. Well, okay. I brought some of it on myself. I was trying to set up my ipod to share music with my laptop–particularly my Lost videos. The sharing worked, but the ipod didn’t. I finally got that resolved the next day. But, I have no clue why my Ipaq went nuts. I sure hope that doesn’t happen again!

Today is Good Friday, and thoughts of the Resurrection are in my mind. I love spring. God has timed the seasons so perfectly. But spring, with Easter at the forefront, reminds us that there is hope and renewal. Life. Rebirth. Resurrection. And, it looks like we’re going to have a perfect weekend to enjoy this special time with family. I have the Honey-baked ham and am bringing the relish tray. My daughter is providing the place and orchestrating the meal. How wonderful to turn the reins over to the next generation!

Because I work for a Christian organization, I am off work today. I could sure get used to 3-day weekends! Today I have worked on my new forum and started preparing for our vacation. Hubby and I are going to the beach with our daughter, son-in-law, and son-in-law clone. Speaking of which, he did the cutest thing today! He is at “the farm” with his daddy, helping great grandpa with farm duties. While walking in the field, they came across some cow manure. Little guy pointed at it and said, “poo poo.” When Daddy confirmed this was true, little guy asked for a wipey. Thinking he had gotten some on his hand, Daddy gave him one. Little guy headed toward the poo to pick it up, just like his parents do when Lexie dog goes on the carpet! Stories like this make a Nina proud! I am very blessed to have 3 special sunshines. And, I get to share Easter with ALL of them! Life is good.

Happy Easter to you all.
